CNY 2010

one week of CNY holiday just gone like that sobb soobbb...didn't get some time to really sleep well. fireworks. gambling.visiting from house to house. volunteering in the temple. ohhh, just tiring!

regardless of my bad condition of health *cough cough*, i had a busy yet meaningful CNY this year. not bored, but make full use of all my time!

alright, chronologically. some pictures chosen only, the rest, FACEBOOK muahahaha.

CNY eve. 

had a not-so-complete family reunion lunch in the afternoon. some aunty didn't attend. sigh. received angpaus. one aunty refused to give angpau coz she just divorced last year, but isn't whoever got married before should give angpau? weird.

at night, we girls dressed up and decided to meet up in the temple. initially we didn't plan to join the countdown event held by Astro at the same place. we just went there, walked abit, then leg pain (coz wearing heels sobbb...) so we sat and talked for 1hour plus.

so while waiting for my never-punctual friends to fetch me, i started to camwhore using my baby tako!

actually there's more and more and MORE! it's all in facebook. and im not familiar with blogger new setting for uploading pictures. a bit annoying. URGH!

and then, when everybody is finally gathered, we took our first group picture since high school year. though we were damn close, we rarely take picture together. and this, showed that all of us had grown up, look maturely, and gorgeous. =)

 

and, the guy wasn't in my plan, but nevermind haha.

when the clock strikes 12am, some of them went back for praying. Xuan and I stayed to "shake" the bell of peace. according to what we believe, by doing so every CNY, it could protect you from any misfortunes and keep you peaceful throughout the year. it's like a routine to do every year, so yeah...

then, we proceed to Ahzi's house and talked for 3 hours. i went back home to play with my sis while Yong and Xuan went for the gambling session at 3.30am. crazzyyyy gambling kaki!

and thus,....

then, we visited some relative's house. angpaus angpaus wheee~

we went to Tanjung Sepat's great grandmom's house. yeah man, my grandma's mother! super cool lea...93 years old though. she was freaking small, make me feel so gigantic beside her. so my height and size is in the genes. =)

then at night, i went Banting with my girl friends again, and had the awesome awesome-est pillow talk session ever. we spend time together, especially when everyone is around once a year. so we treasure the moment alot. we shared lotsa secrets that i don't often reveal. they gave advice and ideas. those in relationship wan started to show off Valentine's day celebration and bf lo..unfortunately im one of those aunties whom showing off haha. 

and that session started at 11.30pm, ended at 5.30am. cool!

3rd day of CNY!

went Klang to visit other friends' house. everyone had become so different. getting pro in dressing themselves. i felt nostalgia when i thought of our high school year. we were not that close. but now, after we graduated, the name of CONVENT 2007 GRADUATES just brought us together and i was delighted to see the changes in the bond of friendship.

yes of course, we gamble we talk we eat. chea erng has sexual frustration ahahahaha.

6th of CNY!

baby was finally back from Penang. initially i thought he has no car to come down, as his dad's car broke down. so i wasn't expecting anything already. though i really miss him, didn't really text for the whole week also, not even a call. hmmmphh. what is this!

anyway, it was Chelsie's bday. he came down! yayyyy! then we and other friends decided to surprise her by dropping by her house without notifying her. and she was shocked. but no tears. no heart wan...

then the rest of the holidays, i was in DongChan, working.

decoration of this year was quite good. simple yet meaningful. kinda regretted that i didn't take a proper picture as i thought i have ample time to take.

before the bday bash started, we managed to take a picture, i love love love this mirror in his living room. so huge, and the ambiance is quite good. hot spot to take photo. next time i shall take more from this angle muahahaha.

and of coz, he look nice in that outfit baby. =)

so we dined in Victoria's station. restaurant with concept of train. fascinating, but forgot to take pictures of the trains. sigh.

hmm, okie la the food. not to say like extremely scrumptious till irresistible, but it was acceptable. i personally still prefer Chili's.

taddddaaaa!!!! my new baby ipod shuffle. i shall call him "Kai". nobody says that pink ipod must have a girl name ma hor. and i use HDR to process this pic, to make it look sophisticated and metallic muahaha...

i think i have become so jakun. i didn't know that the revised version of ipod shuffle is as small as this. quite advance also. use remote earphone to control the volume, and the track im listening to. super cool lo...

almost

i almost had an accident just now.

when i was fetching my bro by motorbike.

there was two bumpers on my right hand side. usually cars would slow down when come to the bumper. and i can cross the road while the cars stop down, as usual, like what i always do.

then when i intended to cross the road, that was this one car who didn't slow down, in fact it kinda accelerated. so luckily i saw the car coming, immediately stop. the car wasn't that close to us, yet it was traumatizing.

i never thought i would have a chance to use emergency break. i could feel the inertia after i break. my bro hit my back so hard. no, i wasn't complaining about the inertia. i was just angry at myself, why would i assume all cars will do the same thing when they cross the bumpers? of course there are some exception!

how if i ride very fast, stop immediately? i couldn't imagine how strong the impact would be. FYI, both of us were not wearing helmet. my skinny brother would have just flew away from the motorbike, and....

i couldn't think anything else right now.


there's nobody to talk. i feel so restless. i want to break down. this is far than what i expect.

well, actually this was the new keychain/handphone accessories of mine. we passed by a shoplot in ss15, and randomly i saw these adorable dolls. (don't get me wrong, they are really cute okie. in their unique way!) so, being the very kind baby, he bought 2, we got one each. his is HANDSOME. which he felt so proud. photos coming soon ya! im gonna take these 2 dolls together. too cute to resist!

but the thing is, i took some closeup shot of the killer, it looked really really creepy. so i deleted it. and now, it is the further shot, still creepy. i can feel my goosebumps when i edited it. urgh. even now, im typing alone downstairs. opps, i wanna go upstairs soon! i don't care!

movies

so i've promised this in my previous post. movie reviews on "Tiger WooHoo" and "Legion".

Tiger WooHoo.



i havta say, the best thing always come to u when u least expect it.

Tiger WooHoo is the first CNY movie produced by all the local Chinese artists (especially Astro stars and MY Fm DJ). it was their first attempt in this new industry, as in CNY movie. but i admit, they did it quite well. much better than my expectation.

frankly speaking, i don't really fancy those HongKong CNY movies like everyone else. u see, they are all regarding Money, Mahjong, Poker and other things. maybe some movies they emphasize on their hilarious scene, act stupid and all. so people pay for the money, go in the cinema, watch the movie, laugh their lungs out, walked out from cinema, cnt remember anything.

yes, that's what i wana say. the movies were funny, yet, there's no emotional impact on the audience u see. what do u learn from Poker? what do u learn from Mahjong? CNY means more than that.

hence, i was surprised by the concept of Tiger WooHoo.

first, they focused on one of the Chinese traditional culture. Tiger dance. don't grumble first, let me finish. im not those kinda person who really really into traditional culture, but this is definitely a new approach in a CNY movie. at least there's some moral value la, preservation of Chinese culture those crap. i don't bother much hehe.

then, the cast. they are the people that i am familiar with. as in Brad Pitt i also familiar, Johnny Depp i also familiar. always see them on the big screen ma. not that kind of familiar i mean. these people, are the people living in Malaysia, our country and they speak the same language with the same accent that u and i have. and that's why i find it funny. we have Penang Hokkien. we have very Malaysian English, BM and Chinese. we have cantonese. we have Hakka as well!

it was really funny, too! they have this gay, which reminds me of SOMEONE. the people are as simple as what u can see anywhere in Malaysia. i love the donation part the most. =)



the story is predictable. it says that everyday is a big day, when ur loved ones is by ur side.

reunion. understanding. compassionate. FAMILY. this is what i feel after watching the whole movie.

I rate it 7/10. they can still have improvements in terms of the script. sometimes it is quite long-winded.

Legion.



wow, im not gonna talk much about this. this is truly, LAME.

spending one and a half hour inside the cinema, being frightened by the sudden appearance of the stupid zombie and sudden massacre in front of the restaurant. but i still don't get the point of the whole movie.

few things i've learnt from this movie:

1. angels have Iron wings
2. our version, angels are good. their version, angels are here to destroy the mankind
3. the angel/Michael has nice body
4. the unknown reason for their overprotective over a baby, that they believe is to rescue the mankind
5. random people being possessed can become a disgusting zombie, with long limbs, can even climb up the ceiling
6. angel vanish into dust when they die, and they can reborn, with the permission from their father
7. tattoo are the directions to survive
   

the movie is completely ridiculous. i don't understand at all. in my humble opinion of course.

i rate it 2/10.

accomplishment

i have accomplished some thing today that made me feel so proud.

1. i took a nap that is less than 2 hours.
2. i finished a big plate of fried rice (alone!) tonight. FULL!
3. i swept the floor.
4. i watched only few hours of TV
5. lastly, i printed out two of my journals, which im supposed to start reading it now yet im like superb lazy to do it.

by the way, what's wrong with my connection lately. it slooowwwww like snail competing with turtle. and i couldn't sign in my MSN. it might work, once in a blue moon, then DC again. wtf right.


i have this weird feeling that i'm getting lazy to maintain this blog starting from this sem. could it be i have been too busy, or i have nothing interesting to update? i guess it's both. =)

Sushi @ KLCC

this time, we went to the sushi restaurant in KLCC and have an awesome dinner there! coz we were thinking, takkan we went all the way to KLCC then eat Mcd again? so thanks to baby, SUSHI taste so nice on that day. and because, u know why. hehe...

on second note, he was pretty amused by the advanced computerized ordering system in Sakae Sushi, and couldn't stop talking about that the whole day.

"WAhh, why so canggih wan? see i order this by pressing in the computer screen here, after that the food was sent to our table. so cool!"

yesh, i will forgive ur jakun-ness, doesn't mean that i cnt tease u for that! MUAHAHAHAHA...

Sakae Sushi. one thing i like is that we can refill the hot water ourselves. there's hot water supply at each table, and it's so convenient! as in we don't havta raise our hand, saying "excuse me" and demand for refill. and of course, i don't like people laugh at the way i ask for waiter or waitress. i err...will err...behave abit shy and reluctant. I SAID DON'T LAUGH! so this is a very chunted service!

all the things we ate! i love the Unagi and Salmon so so so so MUCH! taste so fresh, and melted in the mouth. arrgghhh, don't make me crave for sushi again.


and tadda! we basically don't eat much. yesh, i DON'T eat much that night. coz, i had indigestion. sigh. what a waste hor?


ps: next post, movie reviews on Tiger WooHoo and Legion. Legion is a terrible horrible and vergetable movie. don't watch don't watch. i mean it.
